The Story of MICA

Mercer Island Chinese Association (MICA) was founded in 2016 by a group of friends determined to help other community members and celebrate Chinese heritage. It has since evolved into a well-recognized organization within the Chinese American community in the Greater Seattle Area. Still run by passionate volunteers, MICA is a non-profit organization committed to preserving and promoting Chinese heritage in Mercer Island and beyond. Through various cultural, artistic, and educational initiatives, we strive to help the Chinese community maintain and celebrate their rich cultural traditions, and to build bridges between the Chinese community and our neighbors, fostering understanding and enriching the lives of all residents.
